Purpose-built for data center power and cooling tests

The 500kW liquid-cooled load bank converts electrical power into a controlled thermal load and carries that heat away through a closed liquid loop. Commissioning teams use it to check electrical capacity and cooling performance under repeatable site conditions.

Air-cooled load banks release heat into the room. This liquid-cooled configuration moves most of that heat into the coolant circuit, which makes it a better fit for high-density data halls, CDU FAT/SAT work, UPS and PDU validation, and integrated system commissioning.

Zeltron configures each unit around the project voltage, frequency, load step resolution, coolant type, fitting standard, communication protocol, and protection thresholds. Before shipment, the unit can be tested against the project test plan so the site team has fewer surprises during integration.

Stable 500kW Load

Applies repeatable resistive load for UPS, generator, switchgear, and power distribution tests.

Closed-loop Heat Removal

Transfers heat into the liquid circuit instead of pushing the full thermal load into the room.

Precise Step Control

Supports staged loading, ramp tests, soak tests, and emergency unload procedures.

Project-specific Build

Cabinet layout, fittings, control protocol, and protection logic can be matched to the site design.

Safety features for commissioning sites

Protection logic covers both the power circuit and the liquid circuit, reducing the risk of uncontrolled heat, coolant interruption, or abnormal electrical conditions during long-duration tests.

Electrical Protection

Over-current, phase loss, over-voltage and short-circuit protection can be integrated with project switchgear logic.

Thermal Protection

Load is reduced or stopped when temperature thresholds, flow conditions, or coolant pressure exceed configured limits.

Operator Safety

Emergency stop, door interlock, alarm indication, and safe discharge logic are available for site procedures.

FAQ

Common questions when selecting a liquid-cooled load bank for data center and cooling system acceptance testing.

Why use a liquid-cooled load bank instead of an air-cooled unit?

A liquid-cooled unit removes most of the heat through the coolant loop. That makes it better for high-density rooms and CDU tests where room heat discharge is not acceptable.

Can the 500KW unit test both power and cooling systems?

Yes. It applies electrical load while transferring heat to the liquid loop, so operators can check power capacity and cooling performance in the same test window.

Is the specification fixed?

No. Voltage, load steps, cooling interface, control protocol, cabinet structure, and protection thresholds can be customized for the project.

What should be confirmed before ordering?

Confirm the electrical supply, required load profile, coolant type, flow and pressure range, connection standard, installation space and reporting requirements.
